I figured out why so-called cheating is a thing.
I thought "just tell them you sleep with others", but most people don't accept that because they're monopolizing, selfish and jealous. Again humans are doing weird, unnecessary things.
So that's where the deceptive aspect comes into play, it's so much easier, short term, to just not tell them about it then. It's like very short sighted solution to a problem that's really about not being emotionally mature.
